Cause live violence is better than internet violence...

If you know anything about the fight scene in GA you know that in the last couple of years most of the fights in the metro Atlanta area have been exported to country western nightclubs and other venues where cowboy hats and confederate flags are commonplace. Finally we have a break in the cycle. Bangkok Fight promotions is hosting a fight card downtown at Center Stage (the old Earthlink live venue) with tons of talented fighters on the card including Knuckle Up Woodstock Muay Thai instructor: Warren Thompson vs Unit 2 Muay Thai Instructor: Hugh Harris. Also in the lineup is Knuckle Up Sandy Springs Muay Thai Instructor: Matt Callahan vs seasoned veteran Kevin Brooks.

The fights will be headlined with a grudge rematch in the third installment of Knuckle Up Sandy Springs Muay Thai instructor: Phillip Botha vs the LA Boxing Muay Thai instructor: Harris Norwood. The two met twice before in the Shidokan competition. In fight 1 Botha received a tasty injury in the form of a hole just under his bottom lip by way of the bareknuckle round. Norwood went on to win that encounter in the final round by TKO. In their second encounter it was Norwood that suffered the injury-- this time a broken wrist. Botha went on to win that encounter by TKO. With one TKO win each, both fighters will be looking to make a statement with this final encounter. ...plus they're both a little crazy so this fight's not gonna be one to sleep on.

Come check out the fights. A map showing center stage is below and Tickets are available at ticketmaster. Plus, since the fights are happening in actual civilization you can bet there will be an afterparty in town. Unfortunately I won't be fighting that night. My upcoming fight is only four days before this one so I have to focus my efforts on that, but I will definitely be there to show MY support. ...what about you guys, huh?
